Who we are
Lancashire AI is a trading name of Sami Swain Web Spinner UK Ltd, which is the data controller for the personal data described here. The company is registered in England and Wales, company number 16465462, registered office 69 Cadley Causeway, Fulwood, Preston PR2 3RX. You can reach us at info@lancashireai.com or on 01772 485 348. What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in and what you tell us about your enquiry. The form on the contact page also asks for your business name and town.
With each enquiry we also record the page you sent it from, the time, your IP address and your browser details, which help us keep the forms free of spam. We record whether you ticked the box to say you would rather not hear from us, and which version of the form's notice you saw.
If you phone, email or message us, we keep what you send us and our notes of the conversation so we can reply and follow up.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, because you asked us to reply.
- To provide a service you ask for. The lawful basis is contract, once we agree to work together, or the steps before one.
- To keep the forms free of spam. The lawful basis is legitimate interests. This is what the IP address and browser details are for.
- To tell you about our similar services. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, and only if you did not tick the box. The next section explains this.
- To count visits and improve the site. The lawful basis is legitimate interests. The analytics section explains this and how to object.
Hearing from us about our other services
Both enquiry forms have an unticked box that says
Tick if you would rather not hear from us about our other services.
If you tick it, we only use your details to deal with your enquiry.
If you leave it unticked, we may now and then tell you about our own similar services by email or phone. We never do this on behalf of anyone else. Every message tells you how to stop, and you can say no at any time by replying to any message from us or by emailing info@lancashireai.com.
Who handles it for us
We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing. These services handle it for us, and only to run the website and our email.
- Our web host. The website, its database and our email run on a server we rent from OVH, located in the United Kingdom. Enquiries are saved in the website's database there.
- Our email. Each enquiry is also emailed to our own mailbox, info@lancashireai.com, which is on the same server.
- Google Analytics 4. Google counts visits for us. The analytics section below says what it collects.
- WhatsApp. Only if you choose to message us there. WhatsApp carries the message under its own privacy policy.
We may also share personal data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it, then delete it. If you ask us to delete yours sooner, we will.
If we go on to work together, we keep the records about that work, such as the contract and invoices, for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. You can object to how we use it at any time, including to marketing and to analytics. Email info@lancashireai.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
